Mechanical Design Engineering Manager
New Product Introduction (NPI) Department is an area which connects R&D and Mass Production, ensuring that both the product is ready for mass production and the mass production is ready for the product. The Process Development department, consisting of three teams: Process Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering and Proto-production, is responsible for development and implementation of production equipment and processes. We work in a matrix organization, where scope and pace are driven by project teams.

What tasks are waiting for you?
• Coordination of team consisting of around 7 specialists.
• Team management and development; including motivation, feedback, salary changes, recruitment, promotions.
• Conducting 1:1 with team members, organizing and moderating team meetings.
• Determining and monitoring the team goals.
• Close cooperation with the R&D, Technical, Quality and Production departments.
• Contact person in the context of design needs in the field of mechanical design.
• Issuing opinions on issues in the area of mechanical design (potential for automation, conceptual design, manufacturability).
• Implementation of new production technologies.
• Responsibility form mechanical tool shop.
It would be great if you have:
• have an experience on similar position (Team Leader, Line Manager) Ideally in NPI/close to R&D and/or Production Engineering;
• have leadership and communication skills that help you manage the team and maintain peer-to-peer communication;
• higher education (technical fields preferred);
• are fluent in English (daily communication);
• are flexible, responsive, result- and detail-oriented.
Further:
• you understand matrix organization and project management principles;
• you are familiar with equipment development from mechanical perspective;
• you understand mass production needs and on the other hand you can identify production-friendly changes in product design/architecture.
