Senior Category Manager, Indirect Procurement

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Category Manager who will take a leading role in building and shaping a newly established Global Indirect Procurement area within our high‑performing Operations organization at DGS Diagnostics. 

In this strategic position, you will independently own selected indirect spend categories and partner closely with key stakeholders across countries and business areas. Alongside one dedicated colleague, you will drive measurable value, deliver documented savings, and set strong foundations for how Indirect Procurement operates globally in our business.

Your responsibilities: 

• Build and execute category strategy roadmaps for the areas you own. 
• Support global efforts to streamline, consolidate, and optimize the supplier landscape. 
• Ensure transparency, compliance, and alignment across key stakeholders. 
• Conduct category analyses, market screenings, e‑sourcing activities, and competitive tenders. 
• Lead negotiations and support commercial decision‑making. 
• Identify opportunities for standardization and improved supplier performance. 
• Ensure implementation in the local companies worldwide.

What we hope you bring: 

• Proven experience as a Category Manager or Indirect Procurement Specialist/Manager. 
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to turn data into actionable strategies that deliver real savings. 
• Experience building business cases, calculating savings, and presenting progress to leadership. 
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder‑management abilities. 
• Solid negotiation experience with suppliers and contracts. 
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive results. 
• Experience in a global or matrixed organization is an advantage. 
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken. 
• A proactive, high‑drive approach and motivation to create value for the business. 
• Expertise within Indirect Procurement and the desire to build long‑term supplier partnerships.
