Welcome to System Engineering in R&D

You will be part of the Research & Development team spread across our three sites, Copenhagen in Denmark, Gothenburg in Sweden and Nice in France. The R&D team works on developing future percutaneous and transcutaneous bone conducting solutions including hardware and software.
Reporting to the Director of Systems Engineering, located at the Danish site, you will undertake the responsibility of identifying, in collaboration with project teams, the key aspects of the system architecture of the solutions to be developed. You will take on both an implementation and advisory role. Furthermore, you will provide specifications in the areas of usability engineering, requirements engineering, and system architecture, and contribute to the requirements specific to verification and risk management activities.

Joining us, you will collaborate with various stakeholders contributing to product development (R&D, quality assurance & regulatory affairs, operations) and with external partners providing elements of our product platform (e.g. chipsets and software). Your Main Tasks 

  • Define system architecture and ensure traceability between requirements and performance
  • Contribute to high-level technical planning and the definition of supplier work packages
  • Perform risk management activities, including cybersecurity and safety assessment
  • Define system verification and validation activities, supporting system integration and usability testing activities
  • Participate in the development and continuous improvement of systems engineering, risk management, and cybersecurity processes, methods, and tools
     

Systems Engineering Methods and Tools

We are looking for a new employee who has a good level of understanding of our platform and products using Systems Engineering methods and tools.
You have an educational background (master’s or bachelor’s degree) in engineering in the field of electronics or software. You have probably worked within systems engineering for some years in the medical device industry, or maybe you have previous experience in another industry. If you have knowledge of cybersecurity standards applicable to medical devices it is beneficial.
As a person, you are methodical, analytical, and detail oriented. You apply a critical mind when working and you are being recognized for being proactive on both technical issues and work method improvements.
