The Clinical Post-Market Research Team at Oticon is responsible for collecting real world clinical outcomes documenting the benefits of our hearing technology. We partner with independent hearing care providers and clinical researchers around the world who work with our technology. We are looking for someone who has an interest in clinical research data and scientific communication and can help us to create actionable insights that improve our technology and user benefits.

Primary responsibilities

  • Data management and cleaning of clinical research datasets.
  • Assisting with exploratory data analysis and data visualization to uncover insights and trends.
  • Develop and/or apply statistical models to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement innovative data visualization techniques and presentations.
  • Generate reports on clinical study outcomes, generate figures and illustrations to be used in scientific publications and for possible commercial use.
  • Effectively communicate findings across various contexts and groups of stakeholders (for example, technical v. non-technical, scientific v. non-scientific, and commercial v. non-commercial).

About you

  • We are open to anyone pursuing a relevant education, including (but not limited to): Audiology, Health Informatics, Psychology, Global/Public Health, Health Technology, Biostatistics, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, Social Science, etc.
  • You have a keen interest in real-world clinical data and are committed to uncovering insights that can lead to meaningful outcomes in health technology.
  • You have knowledge of, or genuine interest in data visualization tools and techniques, and you stay updated with the latest advancements in the field.
  • You enjoy finding innovative ways to tell stories with data, using creative and effective plotting techniques for data visualizations.
  • You possess proficient analytical skills and have experience working with datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  • You are curious and continuously seek to expand your knowledge and skills in data science and clinical research.
  • You have a detail-oriented mindset and a focus on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of your data analyses.
  • You have proficient problem solving, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • You are a collaborative team player who can effectively communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data management and basic statistical analysis using software like Excel, SAS, Stata, Python, R, or Matlab.
  • Spreadsheet and data management experience preferred.
  • Experience working with clinical research, clinical trials, health informatics, and/or biostatistics is a bonus.
  • Proficient oral and written English skills.
