If micro-mechanical development, product development in CAD, model simulations, and having access to a state‑of‑the‑art in‑house tool shop make your mind wander toward innovative solutions, and if you enjoy having fun at work, then keep reading. We may just have the right opportunity for you.

With an increased focus on partnering and co-development we are looking for profiles that either have this or are eager to acquire the skills needed to do product development across organizational and geographic borders. We are expanding our mechanical engineering capacity in this area and are looking for talented Mechanical Engineers to join our Device Hardware organization.

Shape future hearing solutions

In Device Hardware, you’ll be part of a team that works hands-on with cutting‑edge facilities for prototyping, design, reliability testing, production technologies and tool manufacturing, all with the mission of developing and improving world‑class hearing instruments with a strong focus on hardware.

We have multiple Agile Teams working with mechanical hardware development across two ARTs (Agile Release Trains), where your focus will be on:

  • Drive micro‑mechanical development from concept to realization
  • Create parts and systems and designs in 3D CAD (we use CREO)
  • Simulate models and evaluate technical solutions with colleagues
  • Build and test prototypes using our in‑house tool shop
  • Follow your design all the way into ramp‑up and production in Poland or overseas
  • Collaborate closely across Device HW, Device SW and other internal stakeholders

You will have 10–20 travel days per year to visit suppliers and our production site in Poland.

A Role with Impact

Your work will span from product maintenance and cost down initiatives, to supporting ramp up and working on documenting parts and systems. From time to time supporting, by giving input to technology exploration or reviewing prior to mass production readiness reviews, You will:

  • Plan and execute design work, design reviews, specifications and documentation
  • Provide guidance to colleagues and support daily planning activities
  • Contribute to competence building and knowledge sharing within Mechanical Engineering
  • Help improve internal processes within mechanical development
  • Strengthen our ME domain through structured, high‑quality engineering practices

Experience with external co‑development

We place increasing emphasis on collaboration with external partners. Therefore, we are adding key requirements to ensure strong integration with our co‑development and outsourced development activities. This is a central part of the role as our projects often involve global partners and highly specialized suppliers.

Ideally you have experience with:

  • Co‑development with external partners, suppliers, and technology providers
  • Managing outsourced development tasks as part of product development flow
  • Writing clear and robust specifications, requirement documents, statements of work (SoW) and similar contractual engineering deliverables
  • Ensuring alignment, technical quality, and communication in partner collaborations

Mechanical engineer with solid fundamentals

You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. We invite applicants at different experience levels, whether you’re early in your career or have several years of expertise.

We expect you to have some experience in an R&D setup, and preferably:

  • Proficiency with PTC Creo or similar 3D CAD tools
  • Knowledge of robust design methods (tolerance stack‑ups, DFM, DFA)
  • Experience with designing for injection molding
  • Hands on experience from medical device development or similar regulated industry

It is a plus if you bring experience within one or more of these areas:

  • Mechanical concept development
  • Integration of electronics (PCB, connectors, batteries, antennas etc.)
  • GPS and 2D specifications
  • Mechanical simulation

Working in our agile setup

Demant has transitioned into SAFe 6.0, moving from traditional waterfall methods to Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and continuous-flow delivery. If Agile is new to you, don’t worry, we provide training through our internal Agile Academy. What matters is your interest in working agile and contributing to a collaborative, iterative development culture.

Join our team!

At Demant, you will work with highly motivated colleagues and experience a culture with strong focus on:

  • Professional skill development
  • Knowledge sharing
  • Work‑life balance
  • An inclusive and diverse workplace

Please send your CV and motivation letter no later than 26th of April 2026. We will conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
