Fitting software for cochlear implants
In this role, you will join our international team of developers, architects and specialists dedicated to the development of our Software solutions. You will play an important role in improving and developing a software platform for supporting our most modern and highly complex hearing implants. We work with the most advanced technologies and development methodologies. We are now looking for a talented developer to join us in our headquarter in Sophia Antipolis nearby Nice, Southern France.
The software products you will be working with, are developed for our professional customers, who use it from initial surgery to the individual fine tuning of our hearing implants. We are starting a major update of our platform where a fitting application is the first deliverable, but mobile apps and cloud-based solutions are expected to play a growing part of our deliveries in the future. We continuously work to adapt and optimize our development methods and we are significantly influenced by agile development thinking. Therefore, we structure ourselves in feature development scrum teams of around 4-7 developers and specialists.
Your main responsabilities will be to:
- Design & develop medical SW products
- Design SW verification protocols at unit test and UI test levels
- Contribute to Safety & Security risk analysis
- Contribute to Usability Engineering activities

You will work directly with the cochlear hearing implant systems we deliver. Our enthusiastic and international team is truly making a difference for the patients here. You will see results on a short-term basis and follow the development cycle from A-Z. To thrive in this role, we expect you to have:
• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field of engineering
• 3-5 years of work experience with software design, development, and documentation
• Hands-on experience with .NET technology stack using C#, WPF, XAML
• A passion for creating high-quality code
• Excellent spoken and written English level
Additional skills and mindsets that you either have or will develop:
• Design of complex software interfacing with firmware and hardware
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail with a strong focus on quality
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with functional programming in the F# language
• Experience in medical device software development including quality and design control
• Knowledge of design control standards and regulations will be a bonus – e.g. FDA QSR, GMP, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, IEC 62366, ISO 14971
