When you work with Embedded Software at Interacoustics, you work with life-changing hearing healthcare equipment, and we are proud to make a difference. Our R&D Hardware Department is an instrumental part of the product life cycle. The department designs, develops, constructs, implements, tests and releases Interacoustics' products and technologies. You’ll get to work with the newest technologies and take part in research projects as part of the product development process, allowing you to always be using and developing your skills.

The team

As a Senior embedded software developer, you will work within a department of talented and accommodating colleagues, who will be there to help and guide you. The department consists of four teams: PCB layout, DSP, Electronics, and Embedded Software. Your new colleagues are qualified engineers with a detailed understanding and knowledge of our products and technology. You will be part of a team, who values each other and who are always curious about learning from each other.

Your main tasks

As embedded software developer, you will have to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, firmware developers, and quality assurance professionals, to design and implement embedded software solutions for medical devices. Besides that, you will also do full-stack and embedded software development from device drivers to embedded UI. Tackle project activities, such as feasibility studies, architecture, design testing and much more.

To succeed in this role, you have

It is very important to us that you experience success in your job, and therefore it will help you to have:

  • 2+ years of experience with development of embedded software products 
  • A basic understanding of hardware and digital communication 
  • C (C++) programming skills on embedded systems and/or Unix/Linux/Windows 
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering/IT or similar
