We are looking for a Scrum Master/Team Coach in our Audiological Solutions department. You will work with teams of experts to develop solutions that make a real difference in the lives of our end users (hearing impaired people) and our customers (hearing care professionals).

The Role

You will be SAFe Scrum Master/Team Coach for two Scrum Teams who are part of an Agile Release Train (ART) in the SAFe framework and are responsible for delivering some of the core audiological features for our hearing instrument devices as well as the user interaction with the devices. The teams are responsible for the algorithms and software which determine the sound quality of the hearing instruments. The team also has a holistic focus on how these algorithms are integrated to the entire Hearing Instrument System. The teams consist of 8 to 10 developers with various areas of expertise including Audiological Systems Engineers, DSP developers, eSW developers, clinical audiologists and test developers.

Your main Responsibilities

As Scrum Master/Team Coach your responsibility will be to create an environment for efficient team dynamics, continuous flow and improvement. Joining us you can look forward to the following primary tasks: 

  • Coach the teams in self-management
  • Develop a level of understanding for the features and development phase which the teams are currently in and work with the team and ART to optimize development flow and efficiency
  • Support the team by removing impediments…within the team but also between other teams and ARTs
  • Cross team alignment. Work together with the other scrum masters in the ART, including through Scrum of Scrums, to ensure cross team alignment by identifying dependencies and supporting ART deliveries
  • We are a medical device company and therefore it´s also important that you can enable the team to keep focus on documenting and developing solutions of high quality to comply with standards of regulated bodies.

We are looking for a person who embodies the characteristics of a servant leader, who can coach, guide and facilitate a team of highly skilled experts to enable them to reach their potential and deliver high-quality solutions.
You should have an engineering background and an interest in learning more about the development process and the skills in the teams. You will be working with some of the top experts in the industry. You should be interested in Lean Agile leadership, creating a healthy and productive work culture and be capable of balancing promoting improvement in a team with keeping focus on critical deliveries. Finally, you most likely have several years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
On the personal side you are a good communicator, are open and approachable while being curious about people and technical product development processes.
