Commercial Excellence Graduate // Demant's Graduate Programme

Welcome to our Graduate Programme. We offer you a career in a leading Danish C25 company, that creates life-changing products for people around the world. We will guide you through a two-year journey here at our headquarters, just outside Copenhagen. You will start on 1 September 2024, where you will work in three different roles on different projects. This will provide you with a broad business understanding and strong network of people across all functions. You will be given a lot of responsibility from day one to develop your professional and personal skills in the best possible way. After this, you will be offered a permanent position.

As we are operating in more than 30 countries, many of our graduates get the chance to go abroad for half a year, depending on business needs. Besides that, you will join a fantastic network with all the other graduates and can look forward to some fun team days, training sessions and trips to our different business units.

Your journey as a Commercial Excellence graduate
Joining the Commercial Excellence Graduate Programme will provide you with a unique opportunity of working as an in-house consultant with a young and dynamic team in a truly international environment with flat hierarchies.

Your overall focus will be to support the Commercial Excellence department in designing and delivering high-profile projects that maximise our commercial impact across markets and business areas. You will get a chance to conduct commercial assessments, identify gaps and opportunities relative to best-practices, develop new commercial tools, and anchor new processes within our commercial teams, globally and locally. This will provide you with in-depth insights on the commercial operations of a global company like Demant. Having a global perspective means that you may also take on assignments and projects that involve stays of outside of Denmark. The length of the stays varies depending on the project.

With your competences and interests as well as current business needs in mind, your rotations could take place within the different areas of the Commercial Excellence:  Sales Excellence, Marketing Excellence, Strategic Pricing, Customer Experience, and Commercial Training at headquarters or within a local sales organisation abroad. However, regardless of the area, one thing is certain: you will have the chance to develop your quantitative, qualitative, and personal skills every day.

We would like to get to know you
To apply for our programme, you are just about to finish your Master studies in Strategic Management, International Business, Finance & Economics, International Marketing or similar or have graduated no more than 1-2 years ago. You are a top performer with excellent achievements in your studies, through your (student) work experience, or extracurricular activities. Ideally, you have already gained some experience with external or internal consulting. You have furthermore gained international experience through a semester or internship abroad or similar. And last, you are fluent in English. Additional languages are considered favourable for the position. 

As a person, we believe that you like to collaborate with others and have a high drive and passion for what you do. You are both strategic and pragmatic and go for the ambitious goal. You enjoy analytical and problem-solving tasks and are comfortable with presenting your findings to an audience. You have a curious mindset, are hardworking, and - most important - humble.

Deadline 
We will close for applications on 7 January 2024. We encourage you to just apply for one of our tracks, as you will otherwise have to choose a track later on in the process.

Recruitment process

• 10-14 January: Sending in a 2min video of yourself answering two specific questions
• 16-19 January: Virtual individual assessment testing for analytical skills and thinking style (just valid for Commercial Excellence track)
• Wednesday, 24 January: All-day Assessment Center at our headquarters in Smørum close to Copenhagen
• 29 January – 2 February: Final interviews including prior online assessments on personal competencies and logical skills
