Product Care Director – Oticon Medical BAHS, Gothenburg 

 

Do you want to improve the life of people with a hearing disability? Are you a leader with a passion for maintenance of in-market products?  

Oticon Medical BAHS specializes in developing, producing, and distributing advanced bone-anchored hearing systems, including long-term implants, sound processors, software, and surgical tools. We are a global leader in hearing solutions, and we are currently looking for our next Product Care Director to join our team in Gothenburg, Sisjön.  

 

The Role:

As the Product Care Director, reporting directly to the VP of Operations & QARA, you will take ownership of the in-market product portfolio. Your mission is to ensure that our products continue to deliver exceptional performance, safety, and reliability. You’ll lead the Product Care Project Portfolio, driving change initiatives ranging from eliminating quality issues to ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and replacing end-of-life components. Your leadership will be crucial to maintaining our production standards and ensuring product longevity. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 
 

  • Owner of the Product Care Roadmap & Project Portfolio 
  • Maintain a comprehensive overview of all ongoing and upcoming Product Care projects and secure an efficient execution with clear priorities and timelines. 
  • Chairman of the Steering Committee approving Change Request and steering change projects.  
  • Ensure timely follow-up and progress across projects to achieve on-time, high-quality outcomes. 
  • Proactively Manage Change Projects 
  • Monitor trends in product performance, production quality, and regulatory shifts to anticipate necessary initiation of activities. 
  • Act as the Project Manager for selected Product Care projects, ensuring seamless collaboration across internal teams and external partners. 
  • Oversee Change Management Process
  • Continuously improve the change management process, representing Product Care during audits and serving as the subject matter expert. 

 

Your Profile: 
 

We believe that you have strong leadership and technical skills. A good eye for analysis and planning, along with a clear understanding of manufacturing and regulatory frameworks for high-class medical devices. This makes you well-prepared to navigate cross-functional needs while securing continued production and supply of innovative medical technologies. 

  • Engineering degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within production, quality, R&D, or product support, ideally in the medical device sector. 
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, assess interdependencies, and develop innovative strategies to achieve objectives. 
  • Experience from business and production systems as well as knowledge of different production technologies
